Following Document No. 286/CCPT-CL1 dated June 29, 2023, issued by the Department of Quality, Processing, and Market Development, regarding the notification of regulations and standards applied to imported aquatic products into New Zealand, along with guidance on new certificate templates for export batches to this market. On August 11, 2023, the Department of Quality, Processing, and Market Development (NAFIQPM) issued Document No. 593/CCPT-ATTP to provide information regarding the adjustment of import regulations by the New Zealand Ministry of Basic Industries (effective from August 1, 2023). Key points to note are as follows:
New Zealand authorities announced they will sample each batch to verify compliance with specified criteria for 4 product categories listed in Appendix 1 attached to this document.
Vietnamese fish oil batches exported to New Zealand for processing and further export to the European Union will adhere to the certificate template outlined in Appendix 2 attached.
