Through the Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei, the Department of Quality Management of Agricultural, Forestry, and Fishery Products received a notification that the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) has approved the list of Vietnamese seafood processing facilities exporting to Taiwan. This list includes seafood processing facilities certified by the Department as meeting food safety conditions for seafood products under HS codes 03, 1604, and 1605.

Taiwan has announced that the list will be effective from October 5, 2019, and enterprises on the list are only allowed to export products under HS codes 03, 1604, and 1605 to Taiwan. Products with other HS codes can only be exported to Taiwan after Taiwan conducts an inspection and evaluation of the seafood food safety control system in Vietnam.
