Following Notification No. 1834/BNN-CCPT dated March 13, 2024, from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Israeli authority requires that seafood exports to this market must be accompanied by certificates issued by the Department of Quality, Processing, and Market Development, according to the certification template specified by the market. Only facilities listed and recognized by the EU are permitted to export to Israel. On April 23, 2024, the Department of Quality, Processing, and Market Development issued Official Letter No. 750/CCPT-ATTP, providing information on three official letters from the Israeli authority (Ministry of Health). These letters outline market regulations and provide guidance on declaring certain contents for seafood export shipments (details can be found in the attached documents). To avoid issues when exporting seafood to this market, the Regional Center for Agro-Forestry-Fisheries Quality (Region 6) suggests that enterprises proactively study the regulations and guidance in the official letters to apply them in production, processing, labeling, and information declaration for shipments.
