On December 30, 2020, the National Agro-Forestry-Fisheries Quality Assurance Department (NAFIQAD) issued official letter No. 1961/QLCL-CL1 providing detailed information and guidance on several changes related to the control of live animal and animal product imports into the United Kingdom. Notably, these changes include labeling requirements, certificate formats, designated ports of entry, procedures for advance notification prior to arrival at the port, and others.

These changes officially take effect from January 1, 2021.
